Greetings, all! I'm a long-time lapsed Pentax user. I used (and still own) a K-1000 film camera in the early 1980's. Loved it, shot and developed tons of film. That camera saw me through college classes and on into life. Unfortunately never had the cash to make the move to digital. Sometimes the responsibilities of making a living interfere with hobbies. Things are much more stable now as I look toward retirement and I'm getting back into photography again. Finally making the move to digital and a K-70. Will have to learn a whole new language (digital) and a new "film development" process, but I think the composition skills are still there, lurking beneath the surface. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can and having fun with photography again.

Welcome to the Forums from Australia. The great thing about Pentax is that it opens up a whole new world of K-mount and M42 lenses going back some sixty years. A lot of them are quite inexpensive so you can have lots of fun for very little.
