Greetings!

My rarely-used KS-2 just succumbed to the dreaded aperture solenoid failure. It worked fine a couple months ago, and then pulled it out today to shoot my daughters (5-th grade) graduation. Tried to review the photos only to find that they’re all terminally under exposed. Argh.

Three hours later, I’ve read all the threads, and will attempt the surgery if I can find the coveted Japanese replacement solenoid!

Hope you get it done successfully. From previous posts on the matter, the DIY solution seems to be perfectly doable and permanently effective. I think there was a seller on the Bay recently that had some white selinoids available. Welcome. Greetings from Greece.

Welcome to the Forums. Good luck with the K-S2. There are alternatives to repair such as using lenses with aperture rings.
