Live View

I use my K20D mostly for astrophotography -- not very advanced work. You can see some here Astrophotography.

I would like to use Live View to improve sharpness but I cannot figure out how to turn it on. I can find the Live View choice on the menu. But how in manual exposure mode do I get it to display on the screen?

Turn the on-off switch all the way to the right. To exit live view, same again.

Welcome to the Forums. The user manual is available for download but you'll have to search for it as it is no longer on the Ricoh support pages (at least not the global and North American sites)..

As I remember live view on the K20D was not all that great, but maybe I just didn't know how to use it right. Live view in the more current models has Focus Peaking and magnification. The K20D does have magnification, but as I recall the resolution of the rear screen is not great.

Actually it is on the Global site under discontinued models, I was just there looking to see if they had a manual for the O-GPS1, and stumbled across it. They have them for all of the DSLRs, and even the medium format film cameras. But no O-GPS1.
