Good Day Everyone,

I'm retired now and have decided to tackle the learning curve of shooting digital in manual mode.
Black and white is my preferred medium, but there are times when the picture calls for colour. For
a long time I did nothing because I only had my Pentax ME sir, and the light meter died.

I found a good buy on a K-x and decided to use my vintage manual lenses on that camera. At first, it thought I bit off more than I
could chew, but now I am coming along with results that reveal some of the good, bad, and ugly of photography ;-)
I chose Affinity Photo to "develop" my raw files. That in itself has its own learning curve, but is so much more reasonable than the
usual software of choice.

I hope to learn and share on this forum as I explore it. Thanks for having me,

murph

Welcome to the forum from another retiree. I have two K-x and a K-70, love them all. If you wish to learn more about the K-x, make a donation and pick up the Yvon Bourque e-book on the K-x. Here's the link: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/donations/?ebooks=1&loginrequired=1#sub18

Welcome!

Shooting manual is a great challenge— but there’s always that one shot that keeps you coming back for more.
Who knows, you might even decide to get back into some film…

Enjoy!
