I've been referencing cameras and lenses on this site for a few years but this is my first post.
My first Pentax was a K1000 a gift from my wife in 1976. It still works great - new seals 5 years ago.
It took hundreds of shots of my family growing up the best of which I have scanned to hi-res digital.
I have also had a KX (film) and Super A. An good eBay buy was a mint Spotmatic F with various Takumar lenses in ex++++ condition that I love using for railway photography.
My first digital was a K5 followed by K70 and K1.
I have always loved using Pentax equipment with great results.

Welcome. I too started my Pentax journey with a K1000 and now shoot with a K-70. Glad to have another added to the rolls.

Welcome… I’m a long-time reader and new to posting as well.

One of the first things I did as a kid was play with my dad’s Spotmatic— pretty sure the light seals were already broken, but I really helped!
When I’m not searching his house for that camera (it’s there SOMEwhere!) I am shooting an MX and LX. Love them both.

Welcome! I recently got a K1000, which I never had in the past even when I had quite a few more film SLRs. I had several 1000DTL and 500DTL bodies which I mentally compared the K1000 to, but now that I have one I prefer it a lot over those brick-like bodies.
