Hello from Yorkshire, UK

Hey there.

My name is Andy, I'm 28 years old, I live in South Yorkshire with my girlfriend. I'm a freelance designer and dabble with a bit of photography!

I'm new to the Pentax forums, but been a pentax user for years!

Just bought myself a k20 to upgrade the istDs that I've been using for a while.

Hi Andy & welcome

I've been working with an Andy from Yorkshire here in Australia for about 3 years and I still have trouble understanding him, mostly when he's had a few

Cheers

Hi Andy,

Nice part of the world you live in. I've got some friends that live near Leeds and when I get over there make sure to visit them - just to see the countryside.

Its also the place where I first encountered the Black Sheep brewery in Masham. Great little brewery, and mighty fine beer! (BTW, did you know that the brewery was set up by a renegade Theakston after they were taken over?)

Anyhow, look forward to some pictures of Yorkshire on these pages.

Cheers

I'll have to get some photos for you...

My office window overlooks the countryside... it's beautiful! On a clear day, I can see for miles... because I'm on a hill

Lucky guy! Looking forward to those images....

BTW - my office has a sort of view of Adelaide oval (I can see the light towers ) - if you like your cricket like most Yorkshiremen Not quite the same as the Yorkshire dales.......

Hey Andy.

If it's deep and crisp and even enough how about dabbling in the Dales? Some great images to be had up there.

Welcome.

I dug this one out that I took earlier on in the year... when I had sunset right outside my window!

There's no photoshop or any filters on this pic... it's straight from the camera.

Nice image - well done!

Did you shoot RAW or JPG? If its RAW you might be able to get a touch more detail from the lower clouds.

Oh well - its still pretty good. Look forward to some images of the dales.

BTW, with your new K20 you'll be able to try out the dRange mode and RAW......opens up a whole new world!

I, too, am from South Yorkshire and spend a lot of my photographic time at Potteric Carr nature reserve photographing butterflies/dragonflies, etc. Might see you there.
