First film SLR was K mount, maybe also first full frame DSLR

My first SLR was a K mount Vivitar. Right now I'm planning to get a K1. I'm still pretty much a beginner.

I still have some 30 year old glass that might come out of the drawer.

Welcome to the forum!
A K-1 will work nicely with old lenses. I use mine with old glass often.

Kind regards,
