Hello from Central Florida.

Hi everyone I am a long time lurker of this forum having shot Pentax to learn on a long time ago ( I'm 68 yrs ). I learned digital on a K10D and have finally made the jump back to Pentax. I will be looking to pick up a few more items for my kit as so far I have bought a K-70 , 17-70, 15 limited and a 20-40 limited. Probably will pick up a Fisheye as I like to play with those from time to time. Still waiting on delivery on all this stuff. I shoot Nikon also for sports ( racing as I live 10 miles from Sebring ) Birds and what ever. Looking forward to trying out my Pentax roots again. Thank you guys and I will be admiring the wonderful images here.

Welcome Twilli53. Are you in the Lake Wales/Avon Park area? I'm right nearby myself, and visit Sebring/Lake Placid regularly. Love the small town feel.

Yes I'm from Avon Park
I'm hoping my camera gets here next week so I can go to work feeling my way around. I know the 17-70 will be in Tuesday.

I should have the most of what I will shoot with coming in next week. Can't wait to experiment with the new kit. If everything happens I will have the K-70 plus a 17-70 , 20-40, 15 and a fisheye, will be looking for a 300 zoom that does not weigh a ton to finish things for now. I have some LED's to get started and will research strobes, I've had good luck with Godox . It's a little overwhelming starting a new kit but that's the fun. Getting different stuff and trying it out. Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Ok everyone everything is in except the camera I should have it early next week. The kit looks like a K-70 , 17-70 f4, 20-40 2.8-4, and a 15 f4 limited. Still haven't decided on a fish yet but that can wait. All the equipment looks to be in good shape. I want the camera in so I can get started.

Presumably, you now have your K-70 and have tried it out. I hope you enjoy it as much or more than I enjoy mine. I've had the K-70 with the 18-135 for about t2o years now and find it a very good piece of photographic equipment. I like the image quality and resolution, and the overall feel and ease of operation of the camera. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

The K-70 came in about an hour ago. I have it unpacked and have gone through the menu quickly. Seems pretty straight forward. It does need an update so I'm learning how to do that. I have the 20-40 mounted and would describe the kit as a proper handful and well balanced . Nice LCD and viewfinder. Auto ISO is set and away we go. Should be fun.

To help familiarize yourself with the camera there is a very good e-book about the camera, available here on the forum for a donation.

Here is the link: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/donations/?ebooks=1&loginrequired=1#sub18

I found the e-book very enlightening and well written. It provides more in-depth information than the owner's manual that comes with the camera.

Happy photographing.
