Hello

Hi,
My name is David and I am happy to be here. I'm on a tight budget so I just bought a K70. I like that. It's a big step forward and I like the comfort. I am sure I will have many questions. I am very happy, I intend to learn and share a lot here, which gives me the motivation to be a good member of this beautiful community. I hope to get along with everyone.
Cheers.

Welcome to the forum!
I'm definitely glad there is still that budget option to get into K mount. If you wind up needing additional lenses, shopping second hand is a great way to save money in that department.

David, Welcome to Pentax Forums!!!!

The one slight disadvantage to Pentax, is that there is not a ton of information about them out and about, like virtually every other brand. So, here are a couple of youtube videos that may help you to get started.

Here is a quick set of videos on getting started with the K70Now, this is not particularly on the K70, but the prior entry-level body, the K-S2 which essentially has the same features and user interface. 98% of everything still applies, and is an excellent introduction. It's an hour long.

Also, Reddit has an excellent free online photo class every year...

Welcome to the forum and congratulations for getting the K-70. I bought one a couple years ago and love it. To learn more about it, I suggest getting the e-book by Yvon Baroque for a donation to the forum. Here's the link: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/donations/?ebooks=1&loginrequired=1

I got a copy so I can learn more about my K-x and my K-70. They are very informative and go beyond the manual you get with the camera.
