There will be lots of good advice here should you want some.
There's even a thread to discuss the
K10D and one for
CCD Sensors which is what the K10D has.
Having a K10D (and a K200D) I feel that the best way to get really great results from that 10MP CCD sensor is to shoot RAW. I haven't tried that many RAW developers but I find that RawTherapee - which is free - gets the most detail out of the files.
Looking forward to seeing some great pictures from your beautiful forests!
Thanks for the advices,
And yes indeed raws from this body are superb.
I even tried to shoot at max iso, processed raws with DXO Pure Raw, opened with PS with amazing quality.
For me the raws from k10d worked in that way were even better that those from Sony DSC R-1 (unfortunately no dxo pur raw compatible), which I thought was a king of 10m sensors...
Cheers

I think there are some options to correct the back focus problem. The K10 has a lot of people who hack it, swap focus screens etc. I sold mine years ago, and still kind of miss the split-focus screen.
Hi
Would you push me in closer? I wouldn't start new thread...
Thank you in advance

I am dreaming about possibility of taking some photos of Polish Zubr ( Bison ).
I believe that there are over 700 of them living in Polish forests.
Hi
I would like to take some snaps in AU!
Żubr is protected in here. But you can shoot the snaps!
