I'm back after came to my senses

Hey everybody.

I'm not new to Pentax or these pages but I was lured away by mirrorless marketing but soon came to regret it. So here I am again, enjoying life with a proper optical viewfinder again. New tech certainly doesn't always mean progress that's for sure.

I had to rebuy everything annoyingly, so I currently have a K-3 with the WR 18-55 (oh and my old m 50mm 1.4 and MX) but I'm very happy to be back in the land of Pentax.

Progress is not absolute. It's a personal thing. Welcome to the forum. Greetings from Greece.

This is so good to read - welcome back from the wilds of Berkshire! I spent a great day in Brighton last summer with my Ricoh GR and got some pleasing street photos - Brighton is a street photographer's dream! (I'm not a street photographer - I prefer nature - but it's nice to do something a bit different sometimes!)

Hope you enjoy your time back here - best place to be, really....

The luxury of that is something I enjoy. But not everyone has the funds to support two systems. Or the desire to learn two systems.

Or realize benefits from two systems.

Welcome back to the Pentax fold HistoryMilkshake. If you need to catch up just ask away. Oh, a good way to reacquire your favorite lens is first check our Marketplace, and if not successful post in the "Wanted" section. I've had great success there.

Lol. I’m not sure how much benefit I enjoyed vs just fun. I like to tinker and explore stuff.

That's part of the fun, and almost certainly the reason many of us acquire so many lenses and lights and modifiers and accessories we don't actually need.

agreed - what I was getting at is that we see a lot of posts that seem to pointed at the option of either/or, rather than both...

I think I understand that and agree with your views on this. But I just know that I’m lucky enough to be able to afford to dabble more than many.

In the case of the OP.....

Let's avoid the MILC vs DSLR debate in this welcome back to Pentaxforums thread. If the OP wishes to further explain his personal decision, one that should be respected of course, that's fine but certainly not a requirement to do so. We have lots of comparison threads already.
