Newbie K-50 Shooter

Hi everyone I'm new to this site and I have had my Pentax K-50 since January 2015. I have had very few issues with it apart from the fact when I swap the lenses over, dust can get inside so caution is needed.

My two lenses I own are those that came with the camera. 18-55 mm and the 55-200 mm .

First: welcome!

Do you have a good blower like this?

Giottos AA1900 Rocket Air Blaster Large - Black amazon.com : Giottos AA1900 Rocket Air Blaster Large - Black : Camera Cleaning Kits : Electronics?tag=pentaxforums-20&

That tool helps with dust removal. Also make sure you have dust removal enabled at startup and/or shutdown.

My first DSLR was the k100d super with that same pair of lenses. Eventually I sold both but they were very useful and I made good images with them. I’m sure you will enjoy the forum.

Hi Kevin, yes it's been a great tool for me and it will always win over a phone due to the skills required.

One of my favourite Pentax bodies, very capable like all Pentax cameras.

My one is red to match the Ferrari(it pretends to be!its actually a little stickshift Toyota).

Welcome to the forum!

I would vote to get a sticky pen over a blower. My experience with the blowers is that it can blow dust specs up into the viewfinder screen. Just my 2 cents....
