Hello, just received my new Pentax K70 with 55-300mm lens. I'm in northern Utah, and mostly interested in outdoor photography of birds. We have some great bird migration areas here and I've been out with binocs and spotting scope seeing plenty of birdlife, each time wishing I had a camera. So, I jumped on the Pentax when I had the chance and literally just got the battery all charged up. I will be lurking amongst these forums absorbing all the great info here. Thank you all in advance!

Hello and welcome to the Forums! There is a wealth of information here from articles and tutorials on the home page to firsthand advice from users. Post some photos once you get started! My son loves bird photography with his K70. I like it too, but haven’t mastered BIF shots unless it’s a soaring bird-of-prey. Have fun!!
