Hello from Tasmania

Hi,
My name is Richard and I have been a Pentax user for many years. I have a Spotmatic, K1000, MX, MZ60 and MZ7, and recently a K100D. Also numerous lenses. I also have a Nikon D40 (sorry), and have owned and still own other makes of film cameras.

I have read many threads about the Pentax situation, with some people saying that the company is not as progressive as other DSLR makers.

While I enjoy the Nikon D40, I turn to the K100D for most things now.
I think the colours are better, and skin tones more attractive. Landscapes are great!

Hope to post some photos soon!

Have a great day!

Richard.

G'day Richard!

Welcome! To echo Kerrowdown's sentiment - the equipment is a tool for capturing great images.

As long as your camera works well and you know and understand its pros and cons, you'll get great images.

So enjoy, ask questions, share thoughts and images and make the most of your imaging tools!

Oh yeah - don't forget to post some images of Tassie!

Cheers

Tassie is another place that I had yet visited in Australia next to Kimberley region. Looking forward to the pics from the place I had longed to visit!

Hey, Richard. Welcome to the friendliest forums on the planet. I am especially looking forward to your first posting of a Tasmanian Devil image you took in the wild. LOL
