New guy from Sydney Australia !

Hi All,

Thanks for the add, and for making me so welcome.

A bit about me, I have a long interest in photography and had some great gear in the film era - Nikon F5, 2 x Leica M6 with every Leica M lens, Bronica RF645 system and most germane to this forum, a Ricoh GR1V and a Ricoh GR21, both bought new from Joseph Yao in Hong Kong.

And then Ricoh released their first digital GR - I was an early adopter and hooked.... The Ricoh GR1v, GR21,Bronica RF645 and Rolleivision Dual66 with 2 x Scheidner lens' were sold on Ebay - fortunately for what I paid for them, or slightly more.

Many years later I do regret selling them, particurlarly the GR1V and GR21 but, on the other hand, would have been inconsolable if both GRs ended up with malfunctioning LCDs as all seem to do. So maybe the sale was a good thing ?

I have just bought the splendid Ricoh GRIIIx Urban Edition and am blown away as to how sophisticated this camera is.

So much so, I aim to pick up a Ricoh GRIII Street Edition in a couple of weeks and am of the opinion that these 2 are all one needs to just about cover all of my photographic requirements - street/urban, landscapes and macro.
