Hello Pentaxians

I am a new owner of the pentax k 70, bought used, here to say hello and to share the first problem I encountered. I took a picture of the dust on the sensor. What do I do? Better to ask a professional to clean it? Could a rocket blower do the trick?

Ciao, Alberto, from the Adelaide Hills!

A rocket blower may well be all you need, along with the sensor shake that Pentax IBIS can provide every time you turn the camera on and off. Failing that, Pentax also makes a very effective sensor cleaning tool, which can safely shift more stubborn debris.

Welcome to the forum, hope your dust issue gets resolved quickly with a rocket blower.

Welcome to Pentax Forums from Germany! Good luck with your cleaning exercise... This reminds me, my sensor is way dirtier than yours!

Welcome to the forums!

I would say starting with the rocket blower is definitely safe. I haven't had to do anything more than that myself, so can't advise any further. Hopefully the blower is all it will take, and your problem will be solved!
