Hello everyone,

I have been a long time lurker and have now decided to register.

I am using a K-3 and a K200D for about 14 months now. I have been a mirrorless shooter for about 7 years when I realised how I started feeling the burn in my shooting eye (not dioptre-related, of course) with my mirrorless. Before, that I shot a lot with the OVF. I was able to access a K200D 14 months ago and I got it from Germany as prices here are too inflated and 2nd hand models are limited. Upon shooting the K200D, I realised how much burn I had with the EVF, much like staring in front of a screen for quite a while. Coming back to the OVF, particularly the bright ones of Pentax, is a welcome change of routine for me.

I always shoot with the eye-level viewfinder and not much on the live viewfinder. With the Pentax, I have the rear screen turned off most of the time and access the display using the info button.

There are so many things I like about the system and we all share similar likes through our eyes and hearts.

Several people here have also reported difficulties using EVFs. If you like the K-3 OVF, you’ll be bowled over by the K-3iii’s.

Thanks. I was told the improvement was rather significant. I may have to wait 'til I get to visit either Australia or Japan as the K-3 III prices are significantly inflated here.
