I'd note, if not known already, in 1989 mini labs were everywhere and the resulting prints were different than what you'll get today. You'll get prints made from a digital conversion of your film plus an optional digital file. The contrast curve and color balance will be done by an algorithm. A factor in the quality of the digital files will be the scanner. And in the last few years the cost of film has increased sharply. But don't let that stop you from having fun with your new-old gear!
I should probably clarify, that I've used the camera plenty since 1989, but not for the last 12 years or so since, first, getting a little Nikon Coolpix digital point and click and then just relying on an iPhone camera. I feel kinda guilty about that, knowing I had this beautiful, perfectly operational old SLR (and now more than one) just sitting there. But that's changing. I shot almost two rolls with it today, just using the Fujicolor Superia 400 and a was rewarded with a spectacular sunset and full moon. I can't wait to see how those pictures come out. I ordered some Fomapan b&w film too (it's cheap). I might try that out with my Vivitar 220 SL, the camera I recently blew the last of my money on.
