Hello to all from Australia

I'm a new forum member from country Victoria, Australia, and I wanted to say hello and Merry Christmas to you all. I have found the PF to be a really valuable source of information and reviews (of lenses in particular).
My photography started with Canon many years ago, then I used a Pentax K-x and K100D super for a while, and I have been shooting mainly Olympus (E-M1, E-M1X + Pro lenses) for the last few years. Recently grabbed some used Pentax lenses (16-50, 60-250, Sigma 10-20) for a friend and staunch Pentax loyalist, and since my K-x has a new home and the K100D is slowly dying, grabbed a K-3 I found for an amazing price as a test-bed.
I am enjoying the K-3 so much, I am looking to get a K-1 in the future to complement my Olympus gear.
I also found some Tokina lenses (19-35, 28-70 and 70-210) which I hope to get soon, and I will review them once I have some time with them.

Please explain - what is a "dropbear".

That minor point aside, much welcome and hope you feel welcome here and become a forum regular.

A dropbear is a vicious predatory type of Koala which lurks in trees and drops down onto its victims from above - hence the name (this may not actually be true . The blue rings are a warning to indicate it is venomous...

I am looking forward to helping others in the forum with info in any way I can. Shout out to the micro four thirds gang!

Welcome from New Zealand.
Unlike the bloody possums and magpies I'm pleased to say that dropbears have not made it to our shores! LOL
Kind regards,
Mark

Stay safe out there Julie. If you carry Vegemite sandwiches you should be OK.
