Hello :)

Hello! I'm new around here.

I found this forum after doing extensive research working out which second hand Pentax camera was going to be best for me and have visited several times since for more reviews and information, so here I am, joining in at last!
Over the last 10 years or so I've been mostly shooting on a bridge camera and I've decided its finally time to up my game and learn how to use a DSLR. A few years ago I inherited a Pentax P30 film camera with a couple of lens and wanted to buy a used DSLR that could make use of those lenses. After some research on what was available and affordable I've got a nice Pentax K-S1 which I'm slowly getting the hang of.

I can't believe I didn't invest in a DSLR sooner. I'm so much fun with it and its really opened up a world of possibilities for me that the bridge camera just couldn't give me! But the DSLR learning curve is very steep right now (particularly when you only have manual lenses!!!) but I'm sure I'll get there and start getting the most out of the camera in due course. I've started a daily photography project to try and encourage me to learn what I can do with it!

Looking forward to meeting you all

Thanks 😊 the Pentax K-S1 with a 50mm lens.
I'm finding it really nice to use and fairly intuitive once I got a few settings tweaked!
