Hi from Perth, Western Australia plus a question!

I am new to this Forum, hence this message. I'm the proud owner of a Pentax K10D and a MZ-50 with a number of accessories.

Planning on getting a K20D, an ultra-wide angle lens and a AF-540 flash.

My first question relates to the flash, will the AF-360 work wireless with the AF-540?

As long as you have upgraded the firmware to 1.1 it will since this enabled external flashes to be wirelessly controlled by the on-board flash. You need to set it to do this in the Fn menu system. Select "Flash Mode, Wireless Mode". Must say that I haven't tried it. When you install the firmware, there is an instruction sheet that explains how this operates - from memory I think it is downloaded with the firmware file.

Hope this helps.

Welcome! Perth's a lovely city, and I can't wait to live there again.

You can set both the 360 and 540 wirelessly, and trigger them with one, the other, or the pop up. (set mode switch to slave, and power switch to wireless). You can also set the pop-up as a trigger (does not fire during exposure).

Either way, you get wireless manual or P-TTL with line of sight, so no worries.

Welcome to the forum. I think you'll find just one or two of your countrymen in here.

In fact there appears to be more Aussie's than anyone else in here.

Awww! How about we adopt you as an honorary Aussie? You're such a nice guy. Move over, boys, and make room for Jimmy Blue. Now what'll you have, mate?

And welcome, davidsue. Yes, we're taking over here. Join in.
