Another from N. Utah

Just getting back into photography and need some advise. I have a Pentax SPII, film camera, with lots of lenses. Can I use the lenses with a new DSLR?

All the photo shops want to sell me a complete outfit, but if I can use what I have why not?

I plan on doing alot of outdoor and nature/wildlife photography.

Howdy Utah2. Maybe we'll run in to each other sometime.

My understanding is the pentax dslr's are compatible with virtually every pentax lens ever made. Old screw mounts would require an adapter, but still mountable. I think that's the main benefit of the pentax system.

Obviously, the older lenses would require the users ability to manually focus, etc.
