Finally getting around to registering for this site..

Although I had a Pentax 35mm film camera in my youth, I haven't been using a Pentax camera until earlier this year when I picked up my K10d. Given the cost & features found in K10d/K20d cameras, I can't imagine why people spend all that extra money on Canon or Nikon!

My photography is focused on landscapes and other nature type scenes from here in the Pacific Northwest. My favorite areas to shoot are the Mount Baker area and the Glacier Peak Wilderness right here in Washington State.

I finally joined this site since I need to tap into the expertise and guidance about some of the older lens options that are out there. Thanks for looking and reading!

Welcome to the forum.I can understand the interest in taking photos of Mt. Baker,for it is one of the most scenic areas for photography.

Ahhhhh...I love Rainier as well but don't love driving down through Auburn, Kent, and Enumclaw to get to it!

The Carbon River valley will always be a special place for me since it's one of the first places I experienced on my first trip up here. I actually made several trips down that way this past summer and hope to make several more this coming year.
