New Here - SLR Lover

I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm here mostly because I'm interested in the 645z system. I tend to like SLRs. I currently have 3 Canon EF bodies, the 5DSR, 1DX Mark II, and a C100 Mark II for video. I also have a Mamiya RZ67 system for film. The RZ is actually the camera that I enjoy using the most from a user experience perspective. It's almost tied with the 1DX Mark II in that way. Lately I've been thinking about selling the RZ and replacing it with a new Pentax 645z and a mint used 645nII. It's just something I've been thinking of doing. I'm not brand loyal. I tend to buy lots of gear to try out and then sell the stuff I'm not using on ebay. I tend to like big cameras and the SLR experience. The K3 III Monochrome and upcoming film camera also interest me. I'm just kind of curious about the brand.

The best (and worst) thing about Pentax is the folks that hang out here. I'm sure you'll fit right in.

Welcome! You mentioned that you are looking at medium format, I'll just point out they gave a couple systems for sale on the Ricoh US website sample sale, and also a refurbished body. The explanation of the sample sale is on the site, those items no warranty, one month return time. I took the chance and bought a K-3III on the sale, it came in perfect shape with a shutter count of one. I thought a month was plenty long to know if there was a problem, so I got a great deal. It may not be what you're looking for, but I thought I'd point it out. There is a section of the website called the Market place, where people buy and sell, and post deals they see. I would encourage you also to post photos and get involved in some of the challenges, etc. I'm participating in the monthly single challenge right now, where member Pepperberry Farm is rocking his 645z and 55mm lens.
