New here from Québec

Hi everyone!
What interested me in this website is simple: I was looking for sample photos taken with a K10D or K20D with the Zeiss T*Planar ZK. So ... I am here to find all about it now, and browse though the interesting threads.
So, with no further much-ado, I will proceed to my quest for images produced in the manner identified above.
Cheers!
JP (my true initials, actually).

Welcome and I hope you find what you're looking for.
There's a great folk band from Quebec that I really enjoy called Matapat. Do you know them and can you tell me if they're still going?
Cheers

Hey Wombat.
Thanks for the welcoming.
I don't know much about this band, sorry! I should, being right here where they perform.
Hope to talk again.

Welcome aboard JP!! I have a plan to buy a Zeiss ZK 18mm, but I have to first take a small pause and talk with my wife

Hi Kurt, Thanks.
No wonder ... those pieces of glass could become quite an argumentative subject, especially when it comes to "dealing" with the better-half!

I am finding a lot of stuff here but the only thing I cannot find is a quick way to find where I have posted??

Welcome

Hi JP. I'm brand new, too, but thought I'd start with a welcome. I'm from Toronto originally (don't hold it against me!), my daughter went to McGill, and I've come to love Montreal.

Oh, also, my favorite Quebecois band (via my daughter) is Les Cowboys Fringants.

Enjoy.

Welcome Ken and JP.

@JP - if you want to see your threads click on your name in the upper-right corner and then click on the Statistics tab. There you will find threads either started by you or ones you participated in.

Whereabouts in Quebec are you from/live.

Anyway, welcome to both of you.

Yes, it will be a loooong discussion. But it also depends on moment and time you choose

Hi and welcome too!
Toronto has grown a bit too large for me; I used to go to school there then moved to Ottawa, then here.
McGill is one great place and Montreal too! Funny you mention this band, it is rather specific to Québec and I am glad you like them.
Talk soon.

JC, I finally got it right. Thank you for the help.
I am in Rivière du Loup ... small shore town by the St Lawrence River. Lots of wildlife but not so much these days because of the winter, but lucky to find a couple of Snowy Owls nearby, which I have photographed a few times.
