Just joined...

I too am fleeing the mess that DPR has become. I am a long-time Pentax (my Super ME is never far and currently has Tri-X film in it) user and got the *ist DS when it came out as a break-in to Pentax DSLR's. I now have a K10D and couldn't be more thrilled.

Just messing around at work, the other night. 18-55 kit lense, tripod, 3 sec mirror lock up on remote control. The scene is Denver, CO by the way.

Hi Bob!

I bought a Canon sitting right next to a Pentax in 1977 :-) Got my K100D in Nov 06 to rejuvenate the dead hobby. I can't imagine shooting film again.

Welcome mikebob. It's nice to see examples of how good the kit lens can be. Looking forward to seeing more pictures!

You know, that's exactly what this DSLR movement is doing for a lot of us. Rejuvenating a dead hobby. That's what I have been telling my relatives who think I'm crazy.

I can imagine shooting film, as I still love my Super ME, but I have to remember to finish that roll of BW film!!
