Hey, all.

I manage a camera store in New York, and recently saw the K10D at a great price, and I had to grab one. I'm ready and excited to put together a little Pentax set up. I've already started convincing some friends to do the same. One of my 2009 resolutions was to get out and make more time for shooting, and I've loved having the K10D by my side so far.

Looking forward to joining the Pentax community and learning how to get the most out of my camera.

Welcome! The best thing about Pentax is taking pictures. For many, the second best is talking cameras right here.

Thanks for all the welcomes. We do sell Pentax equipment (though I now wish we had a lot more!) at the store. No pentaxforums.com discounts just yet, but I'll see what I can do, lol.

I'll be sure to let you guys know FIRST if I come across any good deals. I used to shoot Canon when I was in school shooting 35mm. I switched to Nikon when the D70 came out. I had a D80, but sold that to a friend a little while ago. Nikon sent me a D60 this fall for selling a bunch of those, and the money I got for selling that when to my K10D and lenses (if I got a d300, I guess I'd still be shooting Nikon :P). I just found out that I'm getting an XSi outfit from Canon, so I can't wait to sell that to pick up some more Pentax equipment (or maybe I'll pay some bills instead

!

I gotta say, rparmar's response made me laugh. It seems like a good crowd here.

Hi Jason and welcome. It gave me a laugh that you sold the D60 that Nikon gave you to finance your K10.

Ditto to that. Welcome, Jason, I am sure you will enjoy good company here and find the K10D a feature rich camera to use. Looking forward for some promotion or discount news from you (my LBA still haunting me and also lurking around for K20D or its successor).

I can share with you my experience on this forum which is great. I learned a tons of stuff from these folks here.

Hey, I came across some new *ist DS kits w/18-55. I'll post in the marketplace. I might be able to get some more K10D's in at good prices. Pricing on the K20D is around what you see at most places. I've been logging on a few times a day, browsing the forums. God help me...
