hi everyone!

Last year my DL was stolen (while travelling) and I have been without a camera for a long while... wondering whether I should spend now or save for the next model etc. And then very recently a good friend sent me a used K100D from overseas, with 2 lenses (Sigma 24-70 3.5 and 70-300DL).

Have yet to get back into clicking... I had time for the equipment only this morning and noticed that the camera/lens AF is not happening (have posted a query on the DSLR forum). All suggestions welcome on that.

My present intrest is mainly kids, family, birds (not necessarily that sequence) and I use whatever lens I have for the first 2, and a 500mm Tamron mirror for birds.

I have earlier used the K1000 before moving onto DL, and still have couple of MF lenses (Vivitar 28mm f/2.5; Tokina 50-250) that have been unused in a while...
I have been on the PDML forum too, but unsubbed as I found it too overwhelming :-))

never felt like I was away though; have been keeping in touch to some extent on the net.

present thoughts: should I change my Sigma 24-70 3.5-5.6 to something wider.longer/better?
One half of the brain says use it and out-grow it first...

Welcome to the forums.

If I had those lenses, i'd use them. I'd have to wait another month to be able to afford their cost.
