Hi,

Great site. I'm originally from northern Michigan, temporarily in Louisville, KY, where I just came into possession of a K10D with kit lens and 540 flash (1000 shutter actuations, all like new, all for $560--I was very happy with that price).

I'm moving from Minolta after the death of my 7D. This was the sad end of a twenty-year relationship with the company--I decided not to follow on to Sony. I had a loan of a Canon 40D for a month, as well. My initial impressions of Pentax--all positive. I just love the quality, the controls, the degree of customization. And I appreciate the company's support of legacy lenses!

I'm hoping to attach a pic from my first outing with the K10D. My wife and our dog. Hopefully it will post.

Yikes! It's big.

Anyway, thanks already for all the good info I've gleaned.
