New here but not to Pentax

Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum. I used to handle a Vivitar 3000N SLR which comes with a Pentax K-mount for lenses many many years ago, hence my introduction to Pentax. Later I got myself a MZ 50 as a back-up, and now have a K100D for shooting digital. Would like to learn more things associated with "digital photoshooting", ie the new technology, new gadgets etc.

Photography is my hobby and I love to shoot all natures - mountains, lakes, trees etc.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you kept those K mount lenses, as you know you can still use em with the lastest Pentax digital cameras with varying levels of compatability.

Welcome, this is the best resource on the internet regarding Pentax and meeting great people who use them.

Hi Pentaxie, you are likely to get lots of good advise from this site. I get more than my fair share.

For the new "technology and gadgets" of digital, you might wish to look at HDR (high dynamic range) photography as a technique, and perhaps get familiar with Post Processing software. I also found noise reduction to be useful for some images, as my K200D get grainy from ISO800 upwards. (Neat Image is freeware)

Hi Peter, this is a good pointer.

Is there any chance we are going to see a substructure to the Mini-Challenges, Games, and Photo Stories forum? It would be so much easier to follow POTW, the PP Challenge, the Weekly Challenge, etc. if they weren't all mixed together.
I'd be much more inclined to follow this threads if I didn't had to filter through the big mess every time I want to catch up.
