Hello All,
This is my first post here. I found the Pentax forums while searching for information about that camera brand.
My father recently gave me his Pentax ME Super with several lenses. Since I liked that camera and found out that I could still use its lenses in Pentax's DSLRs I decided to buy a Pentax K10. Read nice reviews about that camera and thought it would be a good entry in the DSLR world. Until now I have been using a Sony DSC-717, which takes excellent photos but does not have all resources and features of a true DSLR.
After several photos I see that I have a new learning curve, since the DSRL behaves differently than the 35mm film camera. However, many of the basic principles I used are still valid.
The camera came with two zoom lenses, which I have been using until getting more "acquainted" with it and start using the older lenses in full manual mode.
Still not sure if I will be able to use the older lenses, though. Unfortunately my father did not store them well and a couple of them developed some fungi.
I read about placing thelenses in the Sunlight to kill the fungi, which I already did. However, still need to find a way to clean them up. I appreciate any ideas and suggestions.
That's it for now. I'll try to stop by regularly and participate and learn as much as possible.
All the Best,
Mario
