Hallå from Sweden!

Hello folks!

I´m a really happy woman today ´cause I just got myself a Pentax
A new K100D is now standing here in front of me.

Who am I? I´m a 27 years old mother of two, living in a house in Älvkarleby, Sweden. Working fulltime and love to shoot pictures.
Not so good in english, but I do understand better then I write

Looking forward to learning all about my camera.

Another Swede!

Welcome! The quoted part above is something I recognize for my own part. But, have no fear, most here are friendly and helpful and also prooved to have a lot of patience.

A tip; "we" have decided not to use SMS-language or too many of the common Internet abbrevations here. This is to make the forum easier to read. You'll meet some photo related abbrevations though.

Välkommen Sara

There is quite a few Swedes on this forum now. You will get all the help you need from a nice bunch of people. Don't worry about the language, it is a lot of us who have english as a second language.
Another tip. Before you ask any question use the search engine. A lot of questions have been answered before and you can tap straight in to the answers without having to wait for replies.

Cheers

Eddie

Welcome Sara! Don't worry about the English part, you are doing better than most of us native speakers!

I also have a K100D and love it. You're going to have a lot of fun. Let's see some pictures of those kids of yours!

Welcome to the forum.

I am a Swede, but also part Norwegian and Latvian. My great-grandfather came over from Sweden to the USA. I regret that he insisted on speaking only English when he got here and there is no history to pass on to my children.

We do cheer for the Swedish Hockey team whenever we can watch them play, and, of course, root for #14!

Thank you!

Thank you all for your warm Welcome!
It´s nice to hear that I don´t have to worry about the language.

jsundin: Swedish is a nice language, but the hockey team am I not so sure about. It´s not what I prefer to watch anyway

xfraser: Oh, it will sure be some photos of my kids. They are perfect to practise on with all their moves. Nice to find some more with the same type of camera. I really love it, already

mingdie: I will sure try the search engine. Thank´s for the tip! It is a lot to learn...

Jonas B: Thank´s, I will try to not use the "SMS language" (which I really only use on the internet ) Lucky for me there is some smileys here thou!

Alvin: Same, I will soon come around to look on all photos here.

Hi there. I just have to say that I love your picture of SBSP. He is the favourite program in my house just now

Strange that the page didn´t work, but maybe I shouldn´t be surprised with a hotmail/msn-page I hope to have a new site soon.

Here's another Sweden, from Sundsvall, to be precise!

I've had the K10D with the 16-45/4,0 for about a month or so, I got it for my 18th birthday. It's a wonderful camera, except for a problem I've got. If I'm out when it's cold (around 0°C), the colors tend to get a greenish tone sometimes.
I'm sending it back to Pentax for repair/replacement tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get it back before I got to Crete at the end of the month. I just hope my retailer will send it to Pentax right after they'll get it :O

But except for this little problem, I can't think of a better DSLR in its price range! I love it

You can see some of my pictures at Paulsson on deviantART. Some of them are good, some of them are not. Hopefully, it's more of the first kind

Greetings/Hälsingar,
John Paulsson
