new to DSLRs

Hi All,
As the title says I'm new to DSLRs. I've used point and shoots and 35mm SLRs but recently bought a K10D for my trip to China. The K20 D is obviously better, but I wasn't ready to drop 1K yet.

My opinion of the K10D is still somewhat superficial after taking it on the road for 2 weeks in China, starting from Beijing to Shanghai to Guangzhou to Meizhou then Shenzen and lastly to Hong Kong. I snapped about 2000 pics with about 700 keepers. However I would only categorize 10 to 20 as being "good".

What I need is to spend some time testing and playing with the camera without the constraints of travel or time. I felt pretty limited by keeping the mode at full auto and felt dejected with I tried to change some setting to end up with a bad picture.

Can anyone point me a good and easy to follow website to taking pictures with a DSLR?

Get Scott Kelby's 2 books on digital photography. With books you can take them with you as a reference. They are written as if he is there with you. Gets to the nitty gritty instead of a bunch of theory.
