Hi New from Michigan

Hi

I am brand new to this forum. Just wanted to say HI and introduce myself. I am looking to buy a camera and really feel Pentax is the way to go. I have really enjoyed using my digital p&s over the years but have grown frustrated with the limits of it and want to upgrade to a entry level SLR. So I am off to read the forum here and get more questions answered.

I have to say that I have asked many people both online and in person about cameras and so far only one person has mentioned the Pentax name, so far I like what I see.

Welcome Karen. I hope you do choose Pentax, but whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it !! As far as we are concerned here, you can't beat Pentax for the money, sure other companies make some really advanced stuff, but that advanced stuff puts a HUGE hole in ya wallet too !!

I was in the same boat as you. Went to Best Buy, they tried to push the Canon. I went to a Pentax dealer and was impressed. My K200 will be here tomorrow. I ordered it through B&H. Got a good deal since the the prices have gone back up everywhere else.
