Proud owner of a 35 year old Pentex

Don't laugh not girls and guys. I am a proud owner of a 35 year old Pentex...............................110. Really.

About 35 years ago I found a Pentex 110 in a parking lot in Denver. No one came to claim it so I have had it all these years. I bought two more lenses and a couple of filters. I don't use it anymore but still want to preserve it. It's just cool to pull it out and see the looks on peoples faces to see a 110 with auto wind and external flash. Or when I put the 70mm lens on it. It actually takes very good macros if you don't make them over 5"X7".

I have been looking for a new winder for it because I can't get anyone to work on it. Money's money, right? Oh well.

Today I tried to use the flash just to see if it still works but it don't seem to want to do so. If anyone knows of with old Pentex 110 accessories and equipment please let me know. I'd love to find the manual and anything else I can for it.

Hi Nancy, welcome to the forum. You should use your 110 again, it's perfect for smuggling into places where DSLRs aren't allowed. You can still get the film online and they will process it as well.
I found all my 110 stuff on Craigslist, you will probably have to buy a complete outfit but you will then have a backup and spares and you might find lenses you don't have. There is also a Teleconverter for it out there. Mine didn't cost too much.

Hello Nancy, and welcome to the forums. I see a lot of 110 stuff on eBay, so you might want to check there now and then, and here is a link where you can download the manual. Pentax Auto 110, Pentax Auto 110 super, instruction manual, user manual, PDF manual, free manuals, user guide right click on the line that says CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE TO PENTAX 110 PDF MANUAL, and then click save as, and download it.

Welcome to the forums, Nancy. Don't worry about being ridiculed; the 110 is well loved around these forums.

Everyone here has given you great advice already; I have nothing more to add to that. eBay and craigslist are your best options right now.

Well thank you all very much. Both for the welcome and the advice.

I just started the buying backup process here actually. I bought some things from Coqui (a member here) and ebay today.

The 110 is a great conversation starter for sure. I'd love to find a poster of the advertisement that used to be on TV. Anyone remember the sumi wrastler with the 110? Very cute.

Any web addys for 110 film and development would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

the frugal photographer sells 110 film The Frugal Photographer. welcome to the forums! the 110 is much loved around here, as most Pentax enthusiasts are proud of the achievement that the 110 was. plus its cute. I had one but sold it. every time someone mentions it, I get the urge to buy another one.

this post reminded me of a wallpaper I made a few years ago from a 110 brochure. never used it but always liked the way it looked.

Then don't go to ebay and do a search for Pentax 110 !! Oh my ! I have already bought some accessaries for my 110. I plan on getting the complete set and stopping there..........................Yeah sure I will. Number on on my list is the teleconverter and the 20-40mm lense. The converter seems to be running around $45+. The 20-40 nearer $80.

Welcome to the forum, some of my kits that old, but I had to pay for mine, that's why I'm still using it to get good value for money.
