Hello from the Great Plains.

I guess I'm doing things bass-ackwards around here

Thanks to the folk(s) on this forum who contributed the LR presets for the K10D. I would never have found them on that other popular digital photography web site.

Thanks to a new friend "pcarfan" from whom I bought a nice lens. Thanks for the great help during this transaction and for my having to avoid eBay. Thanks to him I will post my first picture to the group with my new lens (Tamron AF 18-250).

I will also head over to the donation page to contribute to the forum since pcarfan has went above and beyond in his transaction. I will return the favor to the group with a $ contribution!

I am glad you are enjoying the lens, and is happy with the transaction. Welcome to Pentax forum, the friendliest camera forum on the web. Your entry into the forum is not at all backwards, as the term LBA was invented by a Pentaxian. It means Lens Buying Addiction, and most here are afflicted by it. You are ahead of the curve, that's all

P.S: With the longer end of the 18-250, you have to watch out for the shutter speed. It has to be the inverse of the focal length to get sharp images. So, if you are shooting at 250mm, the shutter speed has to be at least 1/250 to get sharp images, also wait for the SR to kick in. Good luck with your new lens.
