A Big Hi to Everybody!

Just to present myself.

I was first introduced to Pentax in 1977 when I bought my first camera: Pentax KM with a 50mm 1.7 lens.
This magnificent camera served me well up to 1998 when it died from “natural” causes.
Being an early adopter and digital fanatic, I embraced the digital revolution (in cameras) by buying a Casio QV10A in 1996, a delirious little camera who would do just 320x240 pixels, without flash and who would have to be sent to Japan (I live in Europe) to be repaired if for some exotic reason would crash… and btw who cost more then a normal SRLD costs today!
Anyway, the story goes on with several other experiences in this field up to November 2007 when I became a proud owner of a K100D super.
Keeping having fun with it every day, and… taking great photos with my 1977 50mm 1.7 lens…

Welcome to the forum!

I was in Portugal just a few weeks ago on business, and took my camera with me, taking a pile of pictures!

Thanks for the nice words and welcome.

krs: hope you liked the country, the people and the food (we are very well known to be quite good in that department), and that you could get good photos as you have had not a such good weather here in the period of time.

I have been in your neighbourhood two times (Emeryville and S. Francisco both times), in 1998 and 2002 - outstanding place and people.
