Hello

Hello,
My name is Kevin and I am glad to be here. I have a tight budget so I just got a K110D. I am loving it. Its a great step up from P&S and I like the convenience and cost effectiveness over my MF 35mm SLR's and RF cameras, although I doubt you will see me get rid of them anytime soon. I like my old beat up K1000 as well as my collection from other manufacturers. I am sure I will have many questions. I am so happy to see Pentax produce DSLR's that are now very competitive with the other guys. My next DSLR will likely be a K10D or equivalent in the future.

Thanks for reading,

Kevin

K110d was also my entry into DSLR's, and I still have and use it.

It's a great little camera, and I am sure you'll enjoy it a lot!

Now don't forget to go into the "Menu:Custom Settings:Using Apperture Ring:Permitted" to allow you to use your old manual lenses!

Thank you for the warm welcome and the much needed advice. I have been taking pictures of the kids, the cat, the dog, even the guinnea pigs (I know I have a zoo) to try and get myself acclamated to this thing. I look forward to tapping into the knowledge on this forum.
