Hello,

I'm Brad Olson and I live in southern Wisconsin, southeast of Madison. I bought my first Pentax (MV) back around 1980 and have used nothing but since then, at least when it comes to 35mm film. I learned about the forums through the Pentax groups at yahoo.com, and while I'll probably lurk for the most part I might speak up now and again. I can see already that there's a wealth of information here!

Currently I have a K1000, K2 (black), KM, KX, ME Super, and MX for 35mm equipment and a pair of Auto 110s for when I want to be different, and my brother still has the aforementioned MV. I never set out to own this many but opportunities presented themselves and it just sort of happened...after the MV came the K1000 (new) in the early '80s and the Super (new) in the mid '80s, and the others in the last 6-7 years or so through eBay and Craigslist. They've all been serviced and I use them in alphabetical order, but I'm not as anal as that might make me seem. There was actually a period for a good portion of the 1990s where I did very little photography at all but I've started getting into it again during the 2000s, primarily because I contribute to some food-oriented forums and photographs are encouraged.

When I was young I had darkroom access and even a small one in my parents' house, so I grew up using B&W. Now, though, I use color film because I no longer do my own processing.

So that's it in a rather large nutshell, and I'm off to visit the forums!

Brad
