Hi all, I have been reading this great forum for a year or so. Now I find that it's time to start posting here. My English is not the best but I'll try the best I can.

I live on the island Stord in Western Norway. I am an electrician and work mostly on oil platforms in the North sea. My favorite hobbies are fishing and photography.

I got my first SLR in 1981 and that was a ME Super. Two years ago I went digital and the K10D was my first DSLR. Now I got the K20D and I love it.

Hi Helge, welcome to these forums! Oil platform photos are quite scarce here these days, so don't feel inhibited to share them with us!

Helge, you are most welcome! I would love to be able to visit an oil platform - just to have change to shoot fantastic sea images, sunrises, sunsets, storm etc. But that's just my romantic view, so I am looking foerward to see your images from the platform for example!

Your PPG images are stunning, btw!
