Hello from North Carolina!

Wow, it's so much brighter here than that "other" Pentax forum! Some may know me as pentaxer on dpreview. I started out with an ME Super back on the yearbook staff circa 1979. I've upgraded to the istD and love it just as much as my old ME Super! To get a sense of my "eye", here's a recent vacation photo from Puerto Rico with the istD & DA 10-17mm:

Don't be silly, Daren. Let all the people know what an amazing artist you are:
D. Pelletier's Photo Galleries on Pbase

Some of my mind-blowing favorites:
(Photo) The crazy cardinal attacking your window
(Photo) Ypres in black and white
(Photo) Post-impressionist styling of Montreal
(Gallery) A fantastic minimalist gallery for the scarlet ibis
(Gallery) And of course, all the great fish-eye shots from Puerto Rico

And, as always - good to see you!

I think the owner of that bug needs to check his suspension.

Welcome to "the other place". Always good to see another "shooter" than a "talker".

Chapel Hill's a great place to own property, but it must be hard to maintain it from Delaware! We're about 45 minutes away from CH. We love Chapel Hill & just the other week, I brought home some Rathskellar lasagna after taking my 13-year-old son down tobacco road! He wants to go to Carolina like his mother!

Thanks for the welcome! I think the suspension problem has to be blamed on my lens!

Yeah ok, I'm a 'talker". I'm a shooter too but because I shoot a lot, and talk a lot I rarely find time in between to post my pics. See the problem we talkers have

DLPelletier - In the past, I lurked around DP, but never joined. I've seen a lot of your work and enjoyed your stuff. Welcome to the forums!

GO HEELS!!!! I looked at your gallery and I gathered you are a Duke fan.

I generally frown on anyone having anything to do with Duke, but I will make an exception in this case.

Great gallery of work BTW!
