Greetings from Maryland

Hey all!

I'm very pleased to have found such a Pentax-centric photography forum. I have been a Pentax fan ever since I first held a Camera...my father had (and still has) a Pentax ME Super that I regarded with nothing short of wide-eyed awe. He used it to take my baby photos.

In recent years, my purchase of a Fujifilm S2000HD has spurred my interest in photography. I got a K1000 with 50mm lens on eBay, and fiddling with it got me hooked on learning to be a proper photographer. In addition to my K1000, I decided to really get serious and now own a K10D with its 18-55 kit lens.. The 2 Pentax SLRs share a camera bag with a 28-80 zoom lens, 70-300 zoom telephoto/macro lens, polarizer filters, a flashgun, and a tripod. I still have the Fuji but it sees less and less frequent use.

Also in my collection of Pentax cameras is a recently-purchased Auto 110 with 3 lenses and auto-winder, and a thrift-store find IQZoom60 point and shoot. I'm contemplating replacing the Fuji with a Pentax digital compact of some sort, because the Fuji, though not an SLR, is hardly pocket sized.

Other miscellaneous cameras in my collection include an HP 3.0mp digital compact, a Kodak Instamatic 20, Kodak Star 110, Logitech Web/Digital Camera, and a couple other odds and ends. These are mostly toys or spares, as I do at least 80% of all my shooting now with the K10D and K1000.

This looks like a place full of helpful, friendly people, and I'm pleased to be here.

Welcome! The Auto 110 was my first SLR--it gave me some great shots from China in 1982. Talk about a challenging viewfinder, though.
