Hi Folks,

Don't let the DAM throw you. Those are my initials!

I've been a Pentax user since the early 80s when I bought a ME Super. Can't tell you how many pix I've taken with it but it is in the thousands. On one trip to Washington D.C. & surrounding areas in the mid 90s I shot 53 roles of film alone.

Long ago I learned the KEY rule for getting great shots: take a lot of pix...law of averages says some have to be good! LOL!

The best of my pix end up as wall art in our house.

About a year ago, my favorite lens, a Vivitar Series I 28-90 finally tanked due to leaking oil. I was going to buy a DSLR & zoom but, after extensive research, have decided against it. I just don't use cameras enough to justify the price of a full sensor (equal to 35 mm film size) DSLR + zoom lens. Plus, I would be guessing at quality of the lens.

So, I've bought a point & shoot digital (Canon Powershoot SD880IS...if anyone is interested) for daily family pix. I'm going to look for a new zoom to use with the two ME Super bodies I have around here for "special" shots.

I'm reasonable familiar with net sites; I'm the Admin on a sports collectible site and a mod on a sports car site.

Looking through the site here, I'm amazed at the amount of posting activity; pleased to be a new member.
