My first introductory thread in this sub-forum failed to show up, and I did not catch the message which flashed on the screen.

Just wanted to say hello to fellow pentaxians.

I have been interested in photography since late 2006, back then we were living in Mexico. My camera was a Panasonic FZ7K.

After moving to Canada in late 2007 for joining other relatives, I started to build up my accessory "arsenal", ie, filters, tripod, etc..

In November 2008 a friend of mine gave me a used PENTAX *ist D, 3 lenses, and accessories. The built-in flash was dead, so he also gave me an external one. I have since "fallen in love" with PENTAX, no thoughts of switching.

I shoot mostly nature / wildlife. Hope it is OK to share, as I recently before registering I saw a thread which the OP did not like such subjects.

Anyway, just wanted a quick intro, this site appears to be great overall! See you around!

P.S. The lens review section is GREAT. This is the only site I've come across so far which has data on my old K-mount glass.
