Hi,
I'm recently back in the SLR world with a used K-10D. So far so good, though I'm just starting to learn its potential. I grew up using my Dad's fully-manual Minolta 35mm for school newsletter and yearbook photos and thought I was pretty good at that. Then in college my girlfriend/fiance/wife had a Mintolta X-700 which got water damaged. Since then, it's been digital P&S.
If you're looking for a rugged waterproof, freeze and dust-resistant P&S, look at the Olympus SW series. We have an 850SW which is a nice little pocket-sized camera.
I'm looking to buy some lenses, and am reading about which ones to buy. I picked up a used FA 100mm macro which is just astounding. Suggestions for a good, fast indoor lens would be appreciated. I'm considering the 12-24, the 10-17 and I don't think I can resist buying the 40mm pancake lens.
