Welcome (back) Studio20! The K20 is a very good choice! The lens combo of course is a matter of what you have to spend and what you want to shoot. I started with a K20+manual lenses, both k-mount and M42. For the latter you need an adapter - be sure you get the genuine Pentax adapter. Out there on the web are many *many* great manual lenses for almost nothing, so you can easily try which lenses you like. And autofocus? Well, I only have one, the Da 70/2.4 Limited. I would recommend it highly, but if you would buy all lenses people on this forum recommend, you would be broke before the end of the month...

Enjoy these forums, you'll like them and you will find info on all those lenses.....

Welcome to the forum. What do you typically shoot? That would be the best place to start to look at the different lenses and their respective lengths/speed. Enjoy!

The kit lens and 50-200mm may be too slow to shot concerts. If you find yourself shooting them, consider lenses that are faster: FA 50mm F1.4, DA 16-50mm F2.8, Tamron 27-75mm F2.8, DA 50-135mm F2.8, etc.......

Depending on the type of concert it is, you may need beer-sealing as well.

HAHAHA thats a great 1....Beer sealing.....thank god they dont usually sell beer here at these shows its mostly Hip Hop and security is always tight plus im always in the pit and use the flash and drag the shutter alot i was using an f/4 canon IS lens previously and it worked out ok, besides i just picked up a few carl zeiss MF lenses that will be fast enough for it.
