Greetings

I actually stumbled across this site while I was looking for information on some Pentax cameras. I'm a pro photographer and a computer tech. I've been off photography for a few years but am starting to get back into the trade, after being away from my homeland. After having moved back, I'm finding the camera I now own to be not enough for my needs. It's a Nikon digitoy. It makes a nice point and hope, but for distant shots it is not all that.

I'll search this site to find what I need to know before posting a question just in case it's already been said.

Thanks for the welcome Gary.

Soon as I've been here a while, I'll upload some of my macro shots.

Howdy Photolady! Nah, don't stand on ceremony here. Post some photos!

I know what you mean about the Nikon digitoys....I have several here at home. Nice enough in their own way but since I bought the Pentax K20D, I'm a Pentax lady now. Which is not to say that at least the Nikon Coolpix 8400 doesn't get a lot of exercise too. It's such a sneaky little camera that doesn't upset anyone that I point it at.

Thanks.

I have always owned Pentax up until I deviated from photography. My last was a ZX-5n (bought in Canada). My first was a Pentax K1000 I bought to use in College photography courses in 1995. So, I've always been a Pentax fan. The Nikon was an impulse buy for my moving home trip.

almost brought tears to my eyes. If all new members were like yourself, us Moderators would be able to enjoy the forum more ourselves instead of spending our time moving threads to the right place.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
