I am FlashGuy20, I have been a Pentax fan since the days of the K1000. In fact the K100 wa my very first camera. I got into Photography as a means to enhance my oil paintings.

Your comment about photography for enhancing your oil paintings is interesting because literally seconds ago I was reading today's post on my favorite photography blog, which is directly about that topic.

I'm particularly curious if you found photography benefited your painting in the way intended — or in different ways — and if it developed into something you use as an artistic medium directly.
