Hi

Let me introduce myself (I have little wealth and taste is purely subjective)

My name is Trevor and I live in Plymouth, Devon, England
I work for the English National Health Service and in my spare time I enjoy photography (and PP post-processing) amongst other things

To be honest I have been “lurking” on this site for a good time now
And people, you have lightened many a depressing day with your humour, sarcasm, intelligence and knowledge
So why join now?
In one word or rather 2 symbols – K7
Pentax have finally got it right – a tool which can deliver exceptional image quality that can be translated into a picture with image impact (actually I suspect all along that that is what Pentax cameras are capable of doing – certainly my lowly K100D doesn’t disappoint)
And to potentially lock verbal swords with some of you

My first Pentax camera was a MX with a 50mm f1.7 and a 120mm f2.8 lens – some 25 years ago – beat the equivalent combo Olympus OM1 and Nikon FM hands down (sadly I lost the 120 lens to a thief – can anybody tell me if it was really as good as I remember – I used it on a Z1 body and absolutely loved it)

Enough
Suffice it to say that I have migrated to the digital age
I capture “photographs”, I capture “snaps” and I scan old photos
I post-process
But above all I aim to produce pictures that make the viewer think “wow” – the so-called image impact

Trevor

PS
I've attached 5 pictures
Do they look good to you?

Thanks Steven - looks like you are new here yourself
It's actually a scanned shot of a very old slide taken with an MX and 120 f2.8 lens in, I believe (my memory fails me), Egypt
