Hello from the great NW

I've been shooting with a Pentax for many years. First camera was a Praktica IVB with a Zeiss lens (pentax screw mount). I still own it. Was drawn to the Pentax digital SLR to utilize my old lenses. In reality I find that I rarely remove my DA 18-250 and when I do it's to widen to my Sigma 10-20. I grew up shooting on film and since recently retired have tried to catch up on all this digital technology. I enjoy shooting landscapes, grandkids and fishing trips. I think I'll enjoy the expertise on this site.

Welcome to another Washingtonian! There are several forum members in Whatcom county, so you are in good company.

Welcome.

Don't worry.. i found my DA 18-250 a little hard to screw off at first but some fast manual glass will change that

Welcome from the Seattle area. This is an amazing forum with great talent. I too have the 18-250 / 10-20 combo, they're my "traveling companion" lenses. Hope to see some of your work. My flickr is in my Pentax logo below

I hear you. That's why I still have the Takumar 50mm f 1.4 in my bag.

I just got back from a trip to CA. The 18-250 and 10-20 were the only lenses I used. I hope to get some of my "work" up here. Yours I like.
